Tom Brady Jokingly Shocked His Family by Staying For 49ers Game
Tom Brady jokingly shocked his family by staying in San Francisco to watch the 49ers play in the final preseason game of the season. This comes after he announced last week that he would not be going to San Francisco and would leave his sons and wife behind, instead opting to spend the rest of the season in New England. However, the 49ers will most likely have a very different quarterback for their Week 14 matchup against the Raiders, with Brock Purdy rumored to be their “The Guy” for the day.
Tom Brady’s diet includes electrolytes to water and avocado ice cream
Tom Brady’s diet is famous for its strict adherence to his dietary preferences. He follows an alkaline and anti-inflammatory diet that focuses on 80% plant-based foods. It is designed to prevent inflammation, enhance recovery, and improve athletic performance.
To achieve the desired results, Tom Brady’s diet excludes meat, alcohol, caffeine, sugar, dairy, corn, nightshades, legumes, and white flour. He also limits the amount of acidifying foods to 20% of his daily diet.
He also eats an abundance of fruits and vegetables. He starts his day with 20 ounces of electrolyte-infused water. For lunch, he eats fish and vegetables. For dinner, he enjoys a protein shake. For dessert, he sometimes indulges in avocado ice cream.
Tom Brady claims that excessive sugar intake is the root of most health issues. He also believes that cutting out processed foods is the key to reducing inflammation.
Tom Brady’s relationship with former head coach Bill Belichick
The relationship between Tom Brady and former head coach Bill Belichick is always a talking point. They’ve had plenty of success together, and the duo is certainly one of the most successful quarterback-head coach pairings in sports history. But their relationship isn’t always smooth sailing.
For starters, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have not always seen eye to eye. While Belichick was certainly critical in developing Tom Brady into the quarterback he is today, he was also known for sniping great players when they fell off the map.
The duo had a long and eventful history, with each making nine Super Bowl appearances. They were able to build the Patriots into the winningest team in franchise history, racking up six Super Bowl wins and three championships.
Tom Brady’s rebuttal during a free agent interview
A recent interview with NFL reporter Michael Silver included a question that didn’t come in the form of a direct question. The question was, “what are the most important things you’ve learned about the San Francisco 49ers in the past 20 years?” Among the answers were “the team has lost the Super Bowl to the Falcons in 2010, and Jimmy G has suffered injuries during his time there.”
Tom Brady has been with the Patriots for more than two decades. The two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback has won six rings with the team. He’s also won a slew of other accolades, including the MVP award in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl win in 2014.
The New England Patriots quarterback is still on the market, but his status hasn’t changed. Although the 49ers would like to land him, they’ll be content with waiting one more season with Jimmy Garoppolo.
Tom Brady’s workout didn’t do much to bolster his case
There is no doubt that Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback in NFL history. His 7 Super Bowl rings, 641 passing touchdowns, 88,105 yards and 69 career interceptions are just a few of the impressive stats he has managed to accrue. But his offseason hasn’t been an easy ride. He’s been dealing with an off-field scandal, an injury, and a groin injury.
During his workout, Brady had a few good laughs. Assistant coach Terry Jones jokingly mentioned that he had a “short vertical jump.” This was followed by an awkward gag. But it didn’t deter Brady from completing a workout, and it didn’t put his case for staying with the 49ers into serious doubt.
One thing that Brady didn’t do during his workout was wash his hands. It wasn’t his first time, and it probably wasn’t his last. But after losing Sunday’s game, he was a bit depleted and wished to get out of the stadium as quickly as possible.
Brock Purdy will be “The Guy” for the 49ers in Week 14
It looks like San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan will turn to Brock Purdy for Week 14. The seventh overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft threw for 210 yards and two touchdowns in his first start last week against the Miami Dolphins. He also rushed for a score.
The 49ers have been able to produce a solid passing game with players like Christian McCaffrey and Carlos Correa. They have the best all-around tight end, a great all-around receiver and a very versatile running back.
But they will need a quarterback. And they will need one who can lead the Niners through the playoffs to get Garoppolo back.
Purdy has a much better arm than the rest of the quarterbacks in this year’s draft. He can hit deep shots. And he has more athleticism.
